A well-known jurist of China, professor and Supervisor at China University of Political Science and Law. Professor Chen was born in 1930 in Yongjia County, Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province, has been undertaking education and research in Law since his graduation from Law Dept. of Peking University.

Professor Chen Guangzhong is the former President of China University of Political Science and Law, he has also served as: Director of Criminal Law Research Branch of Law Science Institute of China Social Science Academy, Deputy Principal of Graduates School of China University of Political Science and Law and Deputy President of China University of Political Science and Law. His social concurrent posts include: Chairman of China Association of Procedural Law Vice Chairman, Vice Chairman of China Law Association and member of Appraisal Group for Academic Degrees of State Council.

Professor Chen's research focused on procedure law, he has issued totally 16 books and over 100 papers, among which one of his works Amendment Draft and Deduction of Criminal Procedure Law won the top prize of Beijing Outstanding Achievements of Philosophy and Social Science and the 1st Prize of Outstanding Achievements of Ministry of Education.
